Edgewood High Senior Has Impressive Academic Record
March 26, 2025 – Brevard County boasts excellent high schools with Edgewood Jr/Sr High School in Merritt Island ranked as the #6 Best Public School in Florida (moneyinc.com).
There are two excellent articles on standout students in the current issue of MerrittIslandNow.com, and we wanted to share a few of the highlights and encourage readers to visit the website to learn more.
Look at some of the accomplishments of Edgewood senior Omkar Subramaniam: Captain and Brevard All-Star of the Academic Team, a member of the creative writing club, a viola player in the school orchestra, creator of a science fair project on orbital mechanics and nominee for the U.S. Presidential Scholarship, scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT.
During the Academic Team competition this year against West Shore and Holy Trinity, Subramaniam led Edgewood to the highest score in the history of Brevard County play with a total team score of 400 points.
Congratulations to the record-setting Edgewood All-Star Academic Team and Team Captain, Omkar Subramaniam.
