Veterans Memorial Amphitheater Project Moves Ahead

July 18, 2023 – The huge outdoor event complex to be located at the Veterans Memorial Park has taken another step toward completion. Brevard County is seeking a contractor for the Amphitheatre at Veterans Memorial Park, a $4.8 million project that includes a 6,732-square-foot amphitheater stage, a 2,308-square-foot restroom/concession building and a capacity of over 2,300 people on tiered lawn seating.

MIRA has contributed $400,000 to the project, along with an $800,000 grant from the State of Florida Communities Trust for Veterans Memorial Park improvements and MIRA was also successful in obtaining a $1.3 Million Grant from the Brevard County Tourism Development Council, matched by a $ 1 Million investment from MIRA to complete the project.

Officials estimate the project will generate 50 full-time jobs and more than 3,000 additional hotel room nights per year.

A scheduled completion date is expected in 2024.
