Nearby Cocoa Beach #1 Surf Spot in US
October 4, 2022 – When you think of great surfing destinations California or Hawaii probably spring to mind, but start thinking closer to home.
According to international travel blog ParkSleepFly, Cocoa Beach is the “No. 1 surf destination in the USA”. That’s one of the closest beaches to Merritt Island and the home town of Kelly Slater, a world-famous expert generally acknowledged as the GOAT (greatest of all time) in the surfing arena.

There is so much happening in our area it’s hard to keep track of it all. Rocket launches, worlds of entertainment just to the west in Orlando and now the best surfing in the U.S. It’s good to be here.
