To kick off National Safe Boating Week, the Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering free vessel exams at the Kelly Park East boat ramp. Passing vehicles are awarded a decal that indicates the boat complies with all state and federal boating laws. There are no consequences for failure to pass. Needed items include registration, PFDs, visual distress signals, sound-producing devices, fire extinguishers and working navigation lights. For more information, call 321-543-2892
