North Courtenay Parkway (S.R. 3) Safety Improvements

The FDOT has published information about the coming North Courtenay Parkway (S.R. 3) Safety Improvements. The design of the project is estimated to be completed by Fall of 2026, with construction to begin in the Spring of 2027.

The purpose of the project is to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists by implementing access management strategies.

The need is based on the FDOT 2023 Safety Study of the corridor that focused on access management and identifying improvements that would improve safety.

• North Courtenay Parkway (S.R. 3) from Catalina Isle Drive to the S.R. 528 Eastbound Ramps
• Brevard County
• ~2.216 miles
