Jetty Park Camp Store Ribbon-Cutting Marks New Era for Visitors

September 8, 2025 – Port Canaveral is only a few miles from Merritt Island and it is one of the world’s busiest cruise ports. But there is also a gem of a park right on the beach in the port, Jetty Park, and locals and visitors can enjoy a day of relaxation on the beach, cast a line from the popular fishing pier or camp under the stars. Visitors also can experience views of rocket launches, cruise ships and wildlife, making every visit unforgettable.

Recently Port Canaveral officials, along with community and local government leaders, celebrated the official ribbon-cutting of the new Camp Store at Jetty Park. The event showcased the store’s expanded retail, guest service and lounge areas—over 6,200 square feet of air-conditioned comfort—designed to make visits even more enjoyable for both campers and beachgoers.

A highlight of the new facility is the Campers Lounge, a cozy retreat where guests can relax with complimentary coffee, charge devices, browse books and board games or enjoy a kid-friendly recreation corner. The store also offers a wide selection of items including camping and RV supplies, beach necessities like towels and sunscreen, T-shirts and apparel, souvenirs, snacks, food and ice cream—everything visitors need for a fun and comfortable stay.

The Camp Store is just the beginning of exciting upgrades planned for Jetty Park, which welcomes more than 400,000 visitors each year. Future enhancements will feature guest cabins, a dog park, pickleball courts, renovated bathhouses, improved roadways and lighting, a refurbished playground, a food truck pavilion and redesigned public boat ramps at Rodney Ketchum Park—ensuring Jetty Park remains one of the Space Coast’s most beloved recreational destinations.
