The Florida Department of Transportation will hold an open house on Thursday, February 19th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (1940 North Courtenay Parkway) in Merritt Island.

The purpose of the meeting is to gain input from the community regarding the proposed safety enhancement project along North Courtenay Parkway between Catalina Isles Drive and S.R. 528 in Merritt Island. The project includes converting the existing center two-way left turn lane to a raised median, adding median openings, and left turn lanes. Additionally, a new traffic signal at Via De La Reina is proposed.
